Dr Donald Hanson

Dr Don Hanson is an experienced General Practitioner who has been practising medicine since 2008. His clinical background spans General Practice, Emergency Medicine, Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine and Paediatric Surgery, giving him broad experience in the assessment and management of both acute and chronic health conditions. He was also selected to provide medical care for elite athletes during the Glasgow 2014 and Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Originally trained in Scotland, Dr Hanson is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP).

For several years, Dr Hanson has also served as an Assistant Professor of General Practice at Bond University, contributing to the education and development of future doctors. He continues to supervise, teach and train medical students alongside his clinical practice.

Dr Hanson takes a friendly, thorough and patient-centred approach to consultations. He places particular emphasis on careful assessment, clear communication and evidence-based medicine, helping patients understand their health and make informed decisions about their care.

His broad clinical experience enables him to manage a wide range of presentations, from acute illness and injuries through to preventative health, chronic disease management and more complex general medical concerns.

Outside of medicine, Dr Hanson enjoys spending time with his young family, travelling and discovering new cuisines and cultures.
